NEMO Science Museum shows everyone how fun science and technology are and how they affect our daily lives. We bring them both to life, allowing visitors to experience them in all kinds of ways. At NEMO, you can find inspiration, learn through play, share knowledge, do experiments, make plans and come up with solutions to the challenges of today and tomorrow. At the museum, in schools, online and throughout the country.

NEMO’s mission and vision

Mission
Making the world of science and technology accessible to all.

Vision
Science and technology are intertwined with everything we do and make.

We need an understanding of both to decipher and change the world around us. And the better we understand them, the better we can keep up. Those insights help us to learn how to make a positive impact on society, support biodiversity and care for the planet. NEMO is a place to immerse yourself in that world, discover how it shapes your life and learn about your place within it.

At schools, online and throughout the country

NEMO has an online and nationwide presence, providing inspiration and teaching materials at the museum and beyond. Kennislink, NEMO’s journalistic platform, helps to find answers to society’s big questions. The editors monitor scientific research, reveal major new developments and spotlight the science behind current events. On the ground, NEMO Science Tour travels up and down the Netherlands to inspire audiences with fascinating experiments.
