NEMO and partners

NEMO Science Museum lets everyone experience the world of science and technology. Your support as a partner contributes directly to that mission by facilitating programmes and activities. Because when we work together, we make a greater impact.

Achieving more together

NEMO is a place to meet, share knowledge, learn, gather ideas, make plans and think of solutions for current and future challenges. This doesn’t just happen at the museum, but also at schools, online and all throughout the Netherlands.

By collaborating with businesses, foundations and educational and knowledge institutions, we make NEMO more accessible to a larger range of audiences, update our exhibits and develop rich content for our programmes. Together, we’re building a global community of curious minds and changing society for the better.

A large and diverse public

As a major cultural landmark in the Netherlands, NEMO Science Museum has a broad reach. NEMO is the fifth most popular museum and the largest science museum in the country. It attracts 650,000 visitors a year, in particular people who are on average less likely to visit cultural institutions.

NEMO also reaches a broad audience online and nationwide. Kennislink, NEMO’s journalistic platform, receives 1.7 million visits a year. Our Weekend of Science attracts over 150,000 visitors annually. And NEMO’s numerous educational programmes and teaching materials inspire hundreds of school pupils, students, teachers and lecturers.

Examples of partnerships

Below is a selection of projects and activities delivered in collaboration with our partners.

  • Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences and a morning rave on the roof

NEMO hosted a special morning rave on the museum's rooftop featuring an AI installation developed by the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences.

  • Nh1816 members’ day

An exclusive day out for all Nh1816 members and their families to experience the fun and excitement of science and technology.

  • For Women in Science Awards

In collaboration with L’Oréal Group, UNESCO, the Dutch Network of Women Professors (LNVH) and the Netherlands Institute for Advanced Study (NIAS), we celebrate the work of female scientists and researchers from across the globe.
