Youth groups
Science and technology are all around us each and every day. NEMO transports children into a world of everyday objects which are nevertheless very remarkable. Children learn by getting involved, and learn a lot about the world around them while having fun. The inviting exhibitions appeal to children of all ages.
Request a group visit
If you would like to visit NEMO with a group, a reservation is required. Groups cannot exceed 128 people. During holidays, the maximum group size is 32 people. Please send your request to reserveringen@e-nemo.nl.
Prices
NEMO has special, reduced prices for youth groups.
- Youth group €156,- (maximum of 32 children)
- Supervisors free of charge
Terms of this special discount:
- Youth groups are required to book in advance.
- Youth groups must be adequately supervised (at least one supervisor per ten children).
- Youth groups visits should last 3 hours at most.
Getting here
NEMO is recognizable from a distance as the large green building above Amsterdam's IJ Tunnel. It is just 15 minutes on foot from Amsterdam Central Station. More information on getting here.
Supervisors
At NEMO, we believe that supervisors are important, so they are allowed in free of charge. Supervisors should stay with their group and are responsible for the children in their group. We expect at least one supervisor per ten children, however we recommend one supervisor per six children.
Opening times
NEMO is open for groups from Monday to Friday.
Fixed timeslots
For youth groups there are fixed timeslots, starting at 10.30 or 14.00. The duration of a visit is 3 hours at most.
Food and drink
Due to limited seating capacity, no places are available for groups. We ask you to have your lunch somewhere else before or after your visit.
Bags and coats
Rucksacks, bags and coats are kept for you in cloakroom lockers for youth groups. These are suitable for 30 to 50 coats and bags. Use is free of charge. More information can be found upon arrival.
