Picture this: hundreds of people reading together on Amsterdam’s most iconic rooftop terrace. On 1 August, The Offline Club challenges you to turn off your phone for an hour for an offline reading session on the NEMO rooftop.
Bring along your favourite book, magazine or comic, find a spot on the roof and enjoy a relaxing hour reading together in silence. Afterwards, there’ll be plenty of time to chat and meet other readers.
Bring your own book, a blanket or cushion, and sun screen. On the rooftop, you can also pop into the Museum Restaurant for a drink and something to eat.
The event is free to attend. Please do book a free ticket in advance via The Offline Club. You can also make a voluntary donation there to support the initiative.
On the rooftop terrace, you can enjoy nature, science and a stunning view over Amsterdam. It’s a lovely spot for a bite to eat and a drink.
During the Reading Rave, you’re welcome to pop into the restaurant for something to eat and drink. Afterwards, you can of course stay and relax on the rooftop
