There is plenty to discover at NEMO Science Museum during the autumn holidays. Get creative in extra workshops, enjoy the Chain Reaction and go on a journey through space in the film Space: The New Frontier.

  • Chain Reaction

    A spectacular demonstration of potential and kinetic energy. Discover action and reaction, cause and effect in the Chain Reaction.

  • Build your own chain reaction

    Knock over dominoes, set a seesaw in motion, launch a catapult and ring a bell.

Pop-up experiments with soap bubbles

Marvel at the wonderful world of soap bubbles! Discover a large soap bubble in a vacuum, a caterpillar of soap bubbles, a bouncing bubble, soap bubbles with smoke and even soap bubbles in slime. The pop-up experiments with soap bubbles can be seen several times a day throughout the autumn holidays.

  • Make a short film

    Sketch a comic strip and set it in motion with a zoetrope.

  • Hands-on chemistry

    Lab coat? Check! Safety glasses? Check! Carry out surprising tests and experiments using everyday objects.

  • Guess the device

    Your alarm clock, toaster, telephone: would you recognise everyday devices if they were taken apart?

  • Make a spinning top

    Pick a pin and build a spinning top in any shape you like. Give it a spin and see what happens!

  • Make the lamp light up

    Get started with electricity and make an electrical circuit. Can you make the light blub glow.
