Youth groups

Discovering the world for yourself. That’s how children of all ages learn. They get to grips with the world of science and technology by having fun. On each floor of the museum, they are challenged to find out new things.

Plan a group visit

When you visit NEMO as a group, you need to book and pay in advance. A youth group consists of a maximum of 32 children, excluding supervisors. Full details of the conditions that apply when you make a booking can be found in our visiting conditions.

Youth groups are welcome from Tuesday to Sunday. They are subject to three-hour time slots starting at fixed times: 11:00 and 13:30.

Prices

There is a special rate for youth groups. This rate only applies to childcare facilities and associations, e.g. scouts.

  • The group rate is €96 per 16 children. Is your group larger? Then the rate is €96 extra for each group of 16 children.
  • Admission for the supervisors is free of charge.

Practical information

Supervisors

Adequate supervision is important, which is why there is free admission for the supervisors. NEMO recommends one supervisor for every ten children, but experience shows that one supervisor for every six children is the ideal number. Supervisors should remain with their group at all times, and are responsible for the wellbeing of the children.

Food and drink

NEMO cannot guarantee a place to sit if you bring your own lunch. Tip: Arrange to have lunch elsewhere before or after your visit. Please note that you are not allowed to eat and drink in or adjacent to the exhibition spaces.

Getting here

NEMO is easily accessible by car, bike and public transport. The museum’s eye-catching copper-green building is easy to spot from Amsterdam Central Station.
