Activities at NEMO
Up on the roof at NEMO
Discover NEMO's new rooftop square. A completely renewed terrace in the heart of Amsterdam with lots of greenery and science, with fantastic views of the city.
On the roof, nature and technology meet. Discover how green spaces make for a healthy city. Study the clouds, measure the air quality, spot the different city birds and discover how smart ideas can help achieve a sustainable future. The roof is designed so that plants and animals find a place here, in the middle of the city.
Opening hours
The rooftop square will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. On Thursdays and Fridays in July and August, the rooftop square will be open until 9 p.m. Access to the roof is free via the stairs on the east side.
