Spring holidays

There is lots to discover at NEMO Science Museum during the Spring holidays. Get started in extra workshops, be amazed by the Chain Reaction and participate in scientific research.

  • 14 February to 1 March
  • All ages
  • Also open on Mondays

Get started in extra workshops

  • Step into the Laboratory

Lab coat? Check! Safety glasses? Check! Carry out surprising tests and experiments using everyday objects.

  • Puzzle with patterns

With different shapes, you can create an infinite number of patterns.

  • Turn the light on

Get started with electricity and make an electrical circuit. Can you make the light bulb glow?

  • Play with reflections

You usually use a mirror to look at yourself. You can also use it to conduct all kinds of surprising experiments.

  • Guess the device

Your alarm clock, toaster, telephone: would you recognise everyday devices if they were taken apart?

  • Design a glider

Make your own paper glider and test it in the wind tunnel. Will it float?

Demo: For Sure?!

Discover how you can prove that something is really true and what happens when you put your assumptions to the test. Through impressive and interactive experiments, you will learn how scientists work step by step, with questions, predictions and experiments.

Several times a day. This demonstration is in Dutch.

Film: Space The New Frontier

The documentary Space: The New Frontier takes a look behind the scenes at some of the most promising space technologies and missions of our time, giving audiences a first glimpse into the not-so-distant future.

Welcome to the world of cause and effect

  • Chain Reaction

A spectacular demonstration of potential and kinetic energy. Discover action and reaction, cause and effect in the Chain Reaction.

  • Build your own chain reaction

Knock over dominoes, set a seesaw in motion, launch a catapult and ring a bell.
