NEMO reopening 1 June
NEMO Science Museum will open its door to the public again on 1 June.
On 19 May, the Dutch government decided to relax nationwide lockdown measures, giving museums the opportunity to welcome visitors again. NEMO is following the guidelines of the Netherlands Museum Association as well as the recommendations of the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment, and is taking additional measures to ensure a safe visit for all visitors.
What will change from 1 June 2020?
In order to manage visitor flow, tickets will only be sold online. When purchasing their ticket, visitors must choose a timeslot. This also applies to visitors with a Museumkaart or other pre-paid tickets. Only a limited number of visitors will be allowed to enter per timeslot.
NEMO Science Museum will follow the hygiene measures as set out in the Museum Association’s protocol. Visitors must also observe the new rules. This ensures a safe and pleasant visit for everyone. Visitors will receive an email containing instructions about the new measures prior to their visit. Read more about the measures.
Try some experiments at home!
The NEMO website offers plenty of ideas for fun tests and experiments. Try creating a chain reaction, for example, extracting energy from lemons, or experimenting with optical illusions.
